Conversations with the Dead Vignettes Part 1
by Marina Guerrero-Feliciano 4/14/07

You left in a hurry.  I did not have a chance to say goodbye.  I pray for you everyday.  I did not shed any tears because I know, you are in a better place than here on earth . . . . . . . Marina.

Charito de los Angeles, remember when I brought you to a Manhattan night club, 25 years ago which turned out to be something else.  Two Filipina old maids without escorts in a topless show.  A real riot.  Almira Yusi said you were high school classmates at St. Paul, Quezon City & you were class Valedectorian.

Gloria Savellano, thanks for that feast of a dinner you served us, Roger, Elmer & me at your home in Hopewell, VA.  I miss your folkdancing during the PMAA VA balls.

Narciso Lobo, you are funny with your lousy jokes, I am so glad to have known you & CoraDell together.

Rey Pilares, our intern group love you. You told us you'll elope which you did.  Danny Abrenica was your confidant & surely lied to your father to cover you up.

Father Efren Calaycay, I surely wanted to have met you as a Marianist priest.

Tessie Awa-Bajas, would you please tell Ed Bajas to attend our class reunion.  Since you left, I have not been to a home party in Staten Island such as what you throw twice a year in your home. Miss that.

James Go, remember when we vacationed in Mindoro: Omana,Granados, Erwin, Buenviaje, Noche, Gemil & me.  You were so scared of traversing the hanging rope bridge even if the river below was only ankle deep.

Josie Hernandez, are you still coy, shy & "mahinhin"?

Raquel Robles, we went to your funeral, Sandy Valdez, Chit B & me.  Your son was crying so hard so everyone cried too.

Chit Acuna & Ed Manuel, you left your only son a full orphan, but don't worry, his Ninang Cecile Anzures is looking over his money & budget very well.

Linda Ramiscal, I miss our chats after mass at St. Gregory Church every time Roger & I visit Virginia Beach. I saw your Love birds as well as your fine & charitable daughter, Aileen.  In fact, she donated a cool $500 to our Class 67 Breast Cancer for the indigent Filipinas in 2004.  I almost took a Greyhound bus from NY to Norfolk, VA to attend your funeral.  I was so glad Tony & Lydia Solidum-Cabel agreed to drive 7 hours.

I wrote this from my heart, with spell check & full words in honor of our truly eternal friends.  I went to at least 10 funerals & wakes of all of them.
