*Could not make it because of flight cancellation as a result of foul weather.
THE UST MEDICINE'67 CANYON TOUR: 69 brave souls signed up for the Class'67 Canyon Tour and 67 individuals made it. Zinnia and Nabal Giron could not make it when foul weather in the East coast delayed and eventually caused cancellation of their flight and they could not get any other flight that would allow them to join the tour at any time. Aboard two tour buses with two separate tour guides, the Canyon tourists went went merrily to the Canyons and experienced the grand vistas that many of them had not heretofore seen. They spent the first day seeing the marvelous creations of Bryce canyon and then spent the night at a Red Hills lodge. Bright early the following morning, the group visited the Grand canyons. and at the end of the
day, got to participate in a Hollywood style experience, with various individuals getting to wear the costumes and playing the roles of Indians, U.S. Cavalry, saloon ladies, gamblers and early settlers complete with wagons and all. The hilarious, aptly named "tigidig" shindig was followed by a western style barbeque party with musical entertainment provided by a tall singing cowgirl. After another night at the Red Hills lodge, the group went to visit the Zion canyons - this time, looking up at the majestic sandstone mountains. The bus trip following this was anticlimactic and the group arrived in Las Vegas in time for the afternoon mass which was celebrated by the rector, Fr. Arceo at the Wynn Hotel.
