Dear Dr. Gemil,

I apologize for not writing you immediately and probably kept you guessing on what our plans are for the College.

We have modified our curriculum for our students with emphasis on academic performance. We shall strengthen not only the clinical courses but this time, we are offering research as one of the possible opportunities for our graduates. We will also give importance to community medicine and public health. In short, there are three track pathways: hospital - oriented, research and public health.

The previous proposal of Dean Lopez to your Class regarding the OSCE is sustained. We have identified the site, the 4th floor of the Experimental Surgery Building. As I have informed the other members of your class who have come over, we will have all the faculty undergo training for conducting the OSCE. We hope that your class will also reserve a budget for our "Training the Trainors" workshop. We have already forwarded the budget to the Treasurer's Office for approval.

May we know how much exactly is the budget you have set aside for the building of the fourth floor so we can discuss it with the architect.

We are indeed very elated to have concerned and loyal alumni sho share their blessings. May God reward you and your class for the unwavering support you are giving.

Thank you very much for your patience and kind heart.

Sincerely yours,

MA. GRACIELA G. GONZAGA, M.D,MSc.

Dear Dr. Gonzaga,

Thank you very much for your letter of March  7, 2007. The curricular vision for the medical school you mentioned is noteworthy.  As a class , we appreciate that the proposal for an OSCE Facility is sustained by you and your administrative officials.

Much as we leave it up to you and your Project Committee the architectural and building designs of the Facility, our Foundation  does need to have a copy of the plan. We need it for our donation campaign and for presentation during our class meeting in July in Las Vegas during the USTMAAA Conference.

Equally important with the plan is a budget  for the whole project with reasonable breakdown of the estimates. Please also include your budget for the ‘Training the Trainers.”

May I also inquire on your policies regarding receipt and disbursement of donated money assigned to this project. We would like to reconcile your policies with the standard accounting and auditing practices of a U.S. non-profit organization such as ours. Once a mutually acceptable process is agreed upon, we are ready to transfer the portion of the legacy that will cover the scheduled portion of the constructions. Additional portions will be transferred as the need arise.

At this juncture, allow me to express the excitement of our class with this development. I look forward  to  the preparation, construction and culmination of our legacy at the most expedient pace.

Very truly yours,

Corazon G. Gemil, M.D.,FACOG,FACS
